Fun Activities With Binoculars

Do you own a set of binoculars? If you don't, you're missing out on a lot of fun. Binoculars allow you to see things up close and give you the chance to feel as if you could actually reach out and touch birds or even the stars. And if you love birds, a good set of binoculars is just what you need to capture some of nature's most fascinating creatures; a popular activity is bird watching, where birdwatchers often look form afar so as to not scare away their entertainment.

Binoculars are designed mainly for use to view objects at a distance. Thus, stargazing and spotting prey afar are other fun uses, so a set of binoculars is a great companion to bring along when enjoying the outdoors. Amateur astronomers can quickly look at stars -- although a telescope would be more effective, you can use binoculars to enjoy the moon's craters and on clear nights, even the moons of Jupiter and Saturn. This could really be an exciting activity for children.

In fact, even during a solar eclipse (though these don't occur too often), you can glimpse at it with your binoculars. Because it's dangerous for your eyes, you should avoid looking directly at it, however, by projecting the eclipse onto a flat surface, it can really help you to view it enlarged.

Fun Activities With Binoculars

Of course, anyone who has used a binocular knows that looking through binoculars through the "wrong end" makes objects seem small and distant. This is only true of objects more than a couple of inches away. Because of the lenses of the binoculars, objects fewer than a couple of inches away will be magnified. Objects that you can physically go close to can be magnified many fold so that you can see every detail of the object with greater resolution than you would be able to if you looked at it through the "right end" of the binocular. For those who like to have fun marching to a different drummer, this is a great way to enjoy looking at flowers and other close-by objects.

Whether you have a binoculars hobby such as bird watching, prey spotting and hunting activities, or just love gazing into the outer space, there are different binoculars to best suit your needs. Ranging from compact travel size to the sophisticated high quality ones, bringing one along prior to setting out for your camping trip, class field trip event, or having one handy on a quiet beautiful night, will ensure that you won't miss out on any of the fun.

Used Night Vision Binoculars - Really A Good Idea?

I don't think buying a used night vision binocular is advisable. The reason is that, maybe someone sold his night vision binocular due to the fact that it's not working well or have some damage to it. Why go for a used pair, if you can buy cheaper, newer pair.

Try to think that a night vision binocular is some kind of sophisticated special optic electronic devices that helps you see or view in low light or complete darkness. It is different from binocular since binocular can only be used mostly at daytime.

Infrared Binocular

Usually the defect of the night vision is when you don't know how to take care of it. The lens inside is one of the most important thing of the binocular and the IR illuminator. This type of binocular should be handle with care, not to drop it, not to touch the lens and don't place it anywhere so dust will not get into the lens.

Used Night Vision Binoculars - Really A Good Idea?

Most of the used night vision binocular has some defects which you cannot see it immediately since you need to use it at night time. Usually it has film defects, sub standard specifications, excessive cosmetic blemishes, and lens with spots which lead to system failure. There are also some devices that were rejected by the manufacturer and some to buy it and repair it so they can sell it as used.

Just think that if buying used binoculars can save you a few dollars, nope you are wrong, instead you will regret and make a lot of headache. Sometimes, people want to save dollars in buying things but you also need to think if it is worth to buy or not. Buying a new pair is better since you can return it when you are not satisfied with the performance since it has warranty.

Used night vision binocular has no warranty at all for the reason is that, they sold it for cheaper price. Remember that you buy things because you need it for something. Although price is higher but due to its performance, you will be satisfied and it's worth it.

Most of the night vision binocular uses the multicoated lenses since the multicoated lenses have no shadow and it is so clear to see the image. This is a type of lenses that most people used of today even to people wearing eyeglasses. Aside from no shadow it also protects your eyes from radiations.

So why go for less when you can afford a new one with great quality and performance. Sometimes, you need to think twice before buying or ask your friend or someone close to you for an advice. Remember that 2 heads are better than one.

If you want to buy a night vision binocular, don't go for used but instead go for cheaper newer pairs. It is more sensible than buying a used pair without a warranty and even got the old model. So be wise in choosing and always prefer for the new binoculars, not the used one.

EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles

The EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles use infrared light to allow you to see in the dark. This is the same technology used by high end night vision goggles.

The EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles can be used to play outdoor night games, for hiking and camping trips, and more. Vision range is about fifty feet, and there's no glaring light the way there is when we use a flashlight. You can use these goggles during the daytime, too.

Infrared Binocular

The EyeClops Goggles have a sleek design that make it look high-tech. The rubber padding makes it comfortable for different size heads.

The camera feeds to a lens on the right eye which looks a bit strange and takes some getting used to. Also, navigation with these goggles is a little difficult, given their narrow field of vision. However, you can still see things in the dark pretty well. The attached microscope and infrared technology allow checking out different objects such as bugs, leaves, and even family pets.

The goggles come with a battery pack made for 5 AA batteries, safety power cord, and adjustable headband that allows them to fit many different heads. Made for kids eight years old and over, they offer children an opportunity to learn and have fun. The red LEDs around the eyepiece can be turned on for better vision, or off, if your child is enjoying sneaking up during a night time game of tag or hide and seek. Soft rubber around the edges of the EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles makes sure that they fit comfortably and securely.

Consider using high quality photo rechargeables to cut down on waste and make your batteries last as long as possible. You'll save a lot of money on powering these goggles in the end - especially if your kids plan to use them for a long time.
